Abel Charitable Trust Grant

Grants of £3,000 to £5,000 for work with offenders, young people, those with addiction problems and sex industry workers, including victims of trafficking.  Apply in April or October each year.

The Abel Charitable Trust makes grants to smaller organisations working within 60 miles of London.

Grants are made for work with offenders, young people, those with addiction problems and sex industry workers, including victims of trafficking. The Trust particularly encourages applications for preventative work, including training, information and education.

To apply, you need to be:

  • a registered charity;
  • with net assets are less than £1million;
  • an annual income and expenditure of less than £500,000;
  • and free reserves of less than one year’s funding.

The Trust will visit all new applicants that are being considered for a grant, to find out more about the organisation and how it is run.
