Children in need makes grants to organisations working with children and young people who experience:

  • Illness, distress, abuse or neglect
  • Any kind of disability
  • Behavioural or psychological difficulties
  • Poverty or situations of deprivation

Who can apply?

Funding is available for not-for-profit organisations working with children and young people aged 18 years and under.

How much can you apply for?

Children in Need runs two grants programmes:

  • Small Grants of £10,000 or less each year for up to three years
  • Main Grants of over £10,000 per year for up to three years.

The types of things that can be funded are similar for both grants programmes – but the application process is different.
