Grants of between £10,000 and £25,000 for voluntary groups to undertake research and development to scope out new ideas or to carry out research in areas they would not normally have the time or money to explore.  Apply anytime.

The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation offers funding to not-for-profit organisations to scope out a new idea which enables them to:

• work together with other organisations or experts outside their usual practice; or
• enable them to undertake active research into areas they would not normally have the time or money to explore.

Funding is offered for work that contributes to the following priority areas:

• Cultural understanding (promotion of Portuguese visual art and literature in translation)
• Fulfilling potential (Ageing and Social Cohesion and services for adults facing multiple needs and exclusions)
• Environment (Creative Engagement in the Natural World and Growing the Green Economy)
