London Catalyst

Grants from £3,000 for work to respond to unmet health needs, and the limiting effects of poverty, in London's most needy areas.

London Catalyst makes grants of £3,000 and upwards for projects responding to unmet health needs and the limiting effects of poverty.

Project and staffing costs can be funded. Capital costs can be funded if they match London Catalysts priorities.

All activities must make a demonstrable difference, and must focus on people in the areas of greatest need within greater London.

Small grants

The Small Grants programme offers funding for the following:

  • Setting up, or developing, health and social welfare projects in areas of high need
  • Specialist volunteering and advocacy projects that support people, and their carers, to access health and community services
  • Activities to promote good practice and share specialised knowledge in health and social care.

Special interest grants

The special interest programme offers funding for thoughtful projects responding to unmet health needs and the limiting effects of poverty. There is no maximum amount specified – grants are awarded based on the likely impact of the project.

Who can apply?

Voluntary and community organisations with an annual income of £1million or less. Only organisations with an income of £200,000 or less can apply for a small grant.
