Grants of £1,000 to £30,000 for innovative work that reduces poverty by providing money advice.  Apply by 11 July 2012.

The Money Advice Trust innovation grants programme funds work that will tackle poverty by improving the availability, effectiveness and efficiency of money advice in the UK.

The priority areas for 2012 are:

• Developing new information, resources and ways of delivering advice that can be shared with others, and replicated widely
• Projects which combine money advice and financial capability for people who are usually excluded from society
• Work which will assist those who are homeless or facing homelessness.

To be funded, your proposals need to be innovative

The Money Advice Trust is looking for new approaches to an old issue or the use of an established approach for new issues, needs or audiences.

There is a two-stage application process

The first stage requires applicants to fill in a form giving a brief outline of their organisation and proposed project.  Organisations that are shortlisted for the second stage will be invited to submit a more detailed application form.
