PQASSO and quality systems

A quality system is a structured way to improve your organisation’s performance – and can be a way to give funders and commissioners confidence in your organisation’s ability to deliver high quality services.

Voluntary Action Westminster offers support with two quality systems for charities and voluntary groups: PQASSO and Investing in Volunteers.

PQASSO is the leading quality standard for voluntary and community groups.  Developed by the voluntary sector for the voluntary sector, it’s appropriate for organisations of all sizes, and is well-known among funders and commissioners. You can do PQASSO as a self-assessment exercise, or get an external assessment.

Investing in Volunteers is a quality standard in volunteer management that involves both self-assessment and external assessment by an independent advisor.  Created by a forum of volunteer managers and awarded by the UK Volunteering Forum, Investing in Volunteers is a framework to help you think about how volunteers are managed and supported in your organisation.
