Computer grants for low income families

IT Support

A new government scheme is offering help to low-income families, to get them access to a computer and the internet at home.

What can families apply for?

The scheme offers support to low income families that don’t have a computer and internet at home.

Depending on what families need, the grant allows eligible applicants to buy one of the following packages:

  1. Full package: a computer, one year's internet access, service and support
  2. A computer with service and support only
  3.  One year's internet access only

What families can apply?

There are guidelines which say exactly what families can apply. In general, families with children in school years 3 – 9, and on a  low-income may be eligible.
