Home-Start Westminster is recruiting a Co-ordinator
Full or part time (three days a week)
Salary range £26,257 to £27,945 (including London weighting), pro rata for a part time post

Home-Start Westminster is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five years of age. Volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress, helping prevent family crisis and breakdown.

You will be one of four co-ordinators, supported by the Scheme Manager, and will play a key role in ensuring that volunteers are effective in supporting families in their own home. You will share responsibility for the recruitment, development and delivery of training, support and supervision of volunteers, assessment of family needs, and matching volunteers to appropriate families.

Essential requirements of the post:

• An enthusiastic and committed individual, you will have to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the needs of families with young children. 
• Knowledge of the statutory and voluntary sector, and current legislation relating to children and families.
• Degree level qualification or the equivalent experience for working with families and young children.
• A positive team player with commitment to anti-discriminatory practice, and the ability to work using your own initiative.

Fluent Arabic and the ability to communicate effectively in Arabic would be desirable.
