New regeneration consortium

Launch of tri-borough consortium for regeneration and economic inclusion: initial consultation event.  17 May 2012.

CaVSA Hammersmith & Fulham is holding a consultation event to look at the potential and support for a voluntary sector consortium for regeneration and economic inclusion.

Who is the event for?

Chief executives, senior managers and trustees of voluntary organisations which are based in Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.

About the Consortium

The Regeneration and Economic Inclusion Consortium would bring together voluntary organisations to bid for public contracts and to develop new ways to deliver high quality services to local people.

The Regeneration and Economic Inclusion Consortium could incorporate:

  • Training, access to employment; volunteering; work experience; and work placement
  • Welfare rights advice; adult guidance and career development
  • Economic development; social enterprise and job creation
  • Financial literacy; credit unions; fuel poverty and debt advice
  • Economic and social inclusion initiatives
  • Environmental initiatives from grounds maintenance and recycling to community transport.

The proposed Consortium would be a membership organisation, with a separate legal entity, and with a strategic board comprised of the membership. The Consortium would be run, on a day to day basis, by the Partnerships & Commissioning Team at CaVSA  Hammersmith & Fulham.
