• 35 hours a week (with some evening and weekend working)
• A full-time maternity cover position for the period 09 August 2010 to 06 May 2011(subject to possible extension)

This post is part of a three year project funded by City Bridge Trust, currently entering its second year. Volunteer Centre Westminster are looking for someone passionate about volunteering and about supporting and developing volunteer managers to take on this maternity cover role which involves co-ordinating Volunteer Centre Westminster’s services for volunteer involving organisations by providing good practice support, training, advice and encouraging the creation of more volunteering opportunities You will provide support to volunteer managers and coordinators in organisations involving volunteers throughout Westminster. You will support local volunteer managers to effectively recruit, retain, develop and get the best out of their volunteers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a background or an interest in this field.
