Westminster LINk elections

Do you ever wish the people who run health and social care listened more to people like you? Now is your chance to make sure they do.

Westminster LINk is looking for people to become members of its Steering Group.

Members are chosen in an open and free election in which all 300 LINk participants can vote.

Putting yourself forward is easy:

  1. Read our information for candidates
  2. Download and fill in a self-nomination form
  3. Return your completed self-nomination form to Westminster LINk

What does the LINk Steering Group do?

Members of the Steering Group are able to speak directly to service providers to make sure that the voices of patients and residents are heard.

This is your chance to speak up for the people who use GPs, hospitals, homecare, or any other health or social care service in our area. The Group also makes decisions (on behalf of members) on which issues the LINk should concentrate on and how the network can best work to improve the services we all use.

Help filling in the self-nomination form

If you need help filling in the self-nomination form, the LINk is holding two workshops to guide you.

  • Tuesday 16 February, drop-in anytime from 5-7pm
  • Wednesday 17 February, drop in anytime from 11am to 12pm

Both workshops take place at Voluntary Action Westminster, 37 Chapel Street, London NW1 5DP

Closing date for nominations

Your nomination form needs to reach us by 26 February 2010.  Please make sure it’s sent in good time.
