CAST is looking for three trustees with experience in law, offending, addiction, employability or funding. <--break->

CAST is a bridging service which supports women with a history of or at risk of offending, mental health and substance misuse problems to access mainstream training, volunteering, education and employment. They offer a holistic support service, supporting women to develop their skills and fulfil their potential through the provision of free classes, and access to free services and facilities. CAST provides services London-wide to women aged 18 years and above, both at its central premises in the borough of Westminster, as well as within Holloway prison.

Being a trustee for CAST

The Board of Trustees has ultimate responsibility for directing the affairs of a charity, and ensuring that it is solvent, well-run, and delivering the charitable outcomes for the benefit of the public for which it has been set up. Trustees are expected to attend and contribute to discussions in Board Meetings and are encouraged to join a sub-committee (currently Finance, Fundraising and Service Development). Experience in, and enthusiasm for, one of the areas above is desirable but no formal qualifications are necessary.
