The Westminster Compact

Westminster’s local compact is a framework to strengthen working relations between the public, voluntary and community sectors.  Originally published in 2004, the compact was updated in 2012.

Compact Steering Group

The Compact Steering Group is made up of representatives from the voluntary and statutory sectors.  It meets four times a year, to lead action to put the compact into practice.  The voluntary and community sector is represented on the Compact Steering Group by Voluntary Action Westminster, the Westminster Community Network and Volunteer Centre Westminster.  The Compact Steering Group also provides an informal forum for resolving disputes around the practical implementation of the Compact.

Westminster’s Clinical Commissioning Groups

Decisions about how NHS budgets are spent in Westminster will be made by two clinical commissioning groups, whose membership is made up of local GP practices:

Both groups began working in “shadow form” in April 2012, in preparation for taking over full control as a commissioning organisation in April 2013.
